Yesterday, I spent about an hour looking at the birds around Lake Calavera. We had seen two White-faced Ibis there the day before, and I was hoping there might be some yesterday. No ibis, but there was a variety of other birds in spite of lake Calavera being in such a high use area. Here are a few:
American Coots taking wing.
Osprey
Snowy Egret
Pied-billed Grebe
Green Heron
Black-crowned Night-Heron
Juvenile Coot
Sora (first for me!)
