Spring is busting out here at River Song. Below are a few pics taken as I did chores around the house, plus a surprise visitor!
Yummy D joining us for happy hour on the back deck. This past week had beautiful weather with a couple days well into the 80's.
A place down the road sells eggs for $4.00 a dozen from their mixed flock. Fresh and festive!
I love the color of the flowers on this azalea/rhododendron bush.
A begonia, I believe.
Iris plants are taking their turn to show off.
Gail's she shed has this awesome wisteria.
My version of a man cave is starting to produce produce!
When I checked the trail cam down by the river yesterday, I was surprised to see this creature. I'm leaning towards beaver, but it could also be a nutria. In some frames the tail looks flattened and wide like a beaver, and in other frames it seems rounder like a nutria. Compared to raccoons I've captured on camera at this spot, it seems larger. Let me know if you have an opinion on this one.
Riversong is looking quite idyllic!
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for beaver. The tail seems definitely broader than the rat-tail style of a nutria's tail. I wonder what it would be up to just wandering around without a lodge nearby.
Also I think your begonia may be a peony?
Peony, that's what it is!
