The Raptors Have Landed

Saturday, we had an eagle land outside our house.  The dim lighting made for poor photography conditions.

The adult Bald Eagle swooped up and landed in an alder behind our cabana. It takes five years before a Bald Eagle has it's white head and tail.

This morning, I spotted this raptor in front of our windows and land on this broken alder. It stayed about ten minutes, searching the ground and river below.

It appears to be a Red-tailed Hawk.  For awhile, we thought it was a juvenile Bald Eagle.

Adios, amigo!
