Grandkids Unwind

This is what kids do when they reach the motel after being strapped in a car seat for over 400 miles.  Earlier this month I got to help drive Andria's family from Illinois to Monterey.  Nora and Soren did very well, considering the trip took 5 days.  This was our stop in Salina, Kansas, I believe.  The bottom photo is from the morning they left their house in Belleville, Illinois.

What?

Yesterday, we visited the Di Rosa Art and Nature Preserve.  This work titled "Running Through the Woods" Gail remembered from a cover of one of her art books at San Jose State.  The artist is Robert Hudson.

Below, some one is desperately trying to get Gail's attention.

Moon Walk

Ha, you thought this would be one of those night time photo jaunts - wrong!

There is a YouTube video from the 60's of Joe Simon doing the "Moon Walk" in his bell bottoms, in front of a corny backdrop of the moon's surface.  Here, Gail demonstrates correct moon walking form at the beautiful Artesa Winery.  This could be a great dance for the kitchen, between wine-thirty and dinner!
